Pacific Coast Lodge and Backpackers is situated in a prime location on the main road into stunning Mount Maunganui, which is part of the city Tauranga, the 5th largest in New Zealand. We are only 3 hour’s drive from Auckland and 1 hour’s drive from Rotorua.
The region is called Bay of Plenty, and is well known for its beautiful beaches, it is also the Kiwifruit capital of New Zealand, and is plentiful with fresh seafood with the ocean on our doorstep.
Only a short walk away (500 metres!) from miles of white sandy beaches makes us the ideal base for all water sports, including surfing as the beach is only a few blocks away!
We are located right next to Blake Park sports ground, and only minutes away from downtown Mount Maunganui. We now have a new cafe next door and a travel agents, across the road is a liquor store and dairy, and McDonalds is only 2 doors down. If you are in the Mount for a sporting event, our Mount Maunganui accommodation is perfect for you! We are right next to Blake Park Sports ground and a short drive to Bay Park Stadium,
Intercity bus stop is in Bayfair, Mount Maunganui, or the Tauranga Information centre, you can then catch the No. 1 and 2 local busses which will drop you to our door just by McDonalds.
